Questionaire Results

From looking at the results from question 3, they are varied but most of the audience preferred horror films which is good for us because our short film is a thriller/horror based film. The second most popular genre of movies was action; I believe our short film has a little bit of action in a thriller sense, such as the fast paced action at the end. So if these people watched our film, hopefully they would enjoy it.

From looking at our results most of our audience have seen a short film before, therefore this is helpful as they know what to expect and that the film will be a lot shorter and much more will occur in the amount of time we have compare to a ‘Hollywood style’ film.

From looking at the results, over half the audience understood our short film, which is useful as this means we a good job at putting the film together, however it also shows where we need to improve, for we wanted our film to have the element of confusion, yet not for people to totally misunderstand, therefore this is something to work towards on out next project.

Looking at the results, the audience indentified with the characters, this shows that we conveyed our characters well throughout the short film and we are very pleased that the audience understood this.

By the results, the improvements which the audience suggested really helped us to see what we could have added into our short film to improve it and we have learnt from this. The t-shirt covered in blood is a favourite that people wanted to see; therefore from this we can see that we needed to use more props. If we had time we would have made the campsite part more realistic with a tent and more scenes in the dark.

From looking at our results the target audience which would suit our film is between 11-15 years old, rather than what we expected 16-21 years olds, which is something we will look in too.
