This is a style model to which we based our review on, I decided to write in the style of 'Empire' magazine, which is very simplistic and there is hardly any 'fuss' made about the design which I thought was a good way to just focus on the film itself.
I used the same layout as this one here, however using my own words to describe in a the 'reviewers style' my thoughts on the film and what I thought a generalised reviewer would think about our short film.
I used print screens from our production to set the setting of our film, so that readers also get an insight to the images and type of camera work used in throughout.
The layout of this review is extremely simple and very reader friendly... Which I think is important to incorporate into a review and I also did for my own review.
The colours are again simple, black, white and red which is a co-current theme for 'Empire' magazine which gives readers instant familarity when seeing these colours in a review.
The text again... SIMPLE - the titles are black and bold, and the writing is in a normal, everyday font also in black.
With only a few adverts and new films around the outside not distracting too much from the main review.
